Quality planting materials distributed by KVK Anjaw.
To popularize the concept of Winter/Rabi crop cultivation in Anjaw district, ICAR-KVK Metengliang distributed quality seedlings to the farmers of Supliang, Bomna and Metengliang villages on 06.12.2015, 08.12.2015 and 10.12.2015. Each farmer was given approx. 500 seedlings each of cabbage and tomato. Field demonstration on nursery preparation and its management, transplanting in the main field and line sowing with proper spacing were demonstrated by learning and doing process. The farmers were encouraged to adopt vegetable farming to meet their domestic requirement as well as to earn extra income by selling their surplus produce round the year.
